A Light In The Window

I don't know if I would even consider this as a dream since I'm pretty sure I was awake, but I can't really explain it any other way either. I was having a hard time falling asleep yesterday evening.  I kept tossing and turning and closing my eyes briefly only to open them back up a few seconds later. At one point in which I managed to keep my eyes closed for a bit, I saw a large window. Like the pointy arched windows in mansions. The frame was metal, and it was divided into several sections. At the top of the window there was a light, like the sun was shining in early in the morning. Slowly, I looked up into the light, and ended up blinding myself briefly, like when you look at the real sun. I could actually feel the pain in my head that the bright light caused as I squinted into it, but I didn't look away. I stared at that light until it completely vanished along with the window. Shortly after, I opened my eyes again, and found myself wondering if I was going to die soon.

The window looked similar to the picture, but the frame was black and the sections were more uneven and asymmetrical.
