Terrorist Attack!

I dreamed that I went to a convention with Jimmy and two of our friends, who we literally dragged there. The con was two days, and I wanted to buy a certain shirt so I could have a different outfit for each day. My mother and I went to a gas station across the street to look around, and we discovered that the windows on her Cadillac (looked more like an SUV to me) had all been broken. We found who did it and tried to resolve it. When we were about to leave, I told my mom to go ahead back to the con and I'd catch up, but she drove the car up to the gas station to wait for me anyway. I didn't know and left after a quick look around, heading back. I passed several strange characters in alleyways, one of which was wearing a mask like on The Purge, and I started getting uneasy. I somehow found out that a terrorist group was plotting something. I saw a group of people standing in an entranceway, but they ran away the moment they saw me. Worried now, I called my mom and passed on the news I heard and told her to get to the basement of the parking garage as quickly as possible, which is where I headed. Suddenly a strange woman's voice came over my phone. "Mom?" I asked in confusion at the sudden change. "No," the woman replied "Everyone needs to hear this." Somehow I assumed that meant that she had hacked everyone's phone and was giving safety instructions and my mom would be okay. I went into the underground area of the parking garage, and the woman continued to talk, telling us how the terrorist group planned to trap everybody underground and flood it with waste water. Upon finding this out, I tried to leave, but the group from earlier appeared again and literally flipped a staircase to form an impenetrable wall, trapping me and several other people underground. There was a man who was freaking out, having a full blown panic attack. He kept saying something to the effect of "I can handle the water, but not the smell. I can't stand that smell!" As the lady on the phone rambled on about her maniacal plan, the staircase gave out below us and dropped like a super fast escalator. The man continued to freak out, but I just stood silently, holding onto the railing and accepting the fact that I would die alone. I thought about my mom, hoping she hadn't made it underground yet and was okay. I thought about how unfortunate it was that I would never get to see her again. To my surprise, I stayed calm. The man, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. Fortunately, I didn't get to experience my death, since I woke up right as we were falling.
