The Flood and the Hook Hand

I had a dream that my job flooded and we all had to evacuate. Outside, I saw that my coworker, who I recently learned is left handed, had what I can describe the easiest as a hook hand on his right, which made him have to be left handed. The hand actually looked like a deformed pincer of some sort rather than a hook hand, but I don't know how to best describe it. It was like something from a horror movie.
