I was at the supermarket (aka grocery store) shopping, and I had a dog in my buggy for some reason. I came across this other lady who was also shopping and she had four little kittens in her buggy. She offered me one, saying she was giving them away for free to a good home, and I picked one up (a gray one I think) but the dog in my buggy started barking ferociously and trying to snap at the poor little kitten, so I had to give it back to the lady. I told her I would love one of her adorable little kittens, but I was concerned that our four dogs would try to eat it (even though we really only have three since our other one passed.). I walked away and continued my shopping. I think there was more to the dream, but I don't remember any more.
