The Ugly Brown House

While driving home one from somewhere (not sure where. That may have been answered earlier, but I don't remember.), Jimmy and I happened to see a sign on a house that said it was for sale. We turned around and pulled into the neighborhood. Some people were outside, so we asked about the house. They asked us if we were referring to "the ugly house over there," and we looked to see a tall skinny brown house with faded paint and locks on the lower level upstairs windows. We discussed it and agreed that the house wasn't ugly, and in case Gabriel ever became suicidal he wouldn't be able to jump out the upstairs windows. The front yard was in disrepair, as it appeared there were once bricks around it, but they had all crumbled and broken away to ruins. I remember coloring in red crayon on the stairs for some reason, which made it look like blood. We left the house to head home, discussing our views on the home. Why was it so much older than the other ones in the neighborhood and what happened to the bricks around the front yard? Why was it only $200 a month? Was it haunted? I believe my mother offered a theory that a ghost scared them away, and they stole a bunch of gold and jewls and left to become pirates, sailing the seas. We discussed keeping the dog that belonged to the current owners, but figured they wouldn't let us do that. We did some research on the house online, but we were mostly concerned about if it was haunted. We said we would get two cats and two dogs of our own to protect us whether it was or not. I imagined walking through the door and feeling safe, as opposed to being outside because that's what it's supposed to feel like at home. And that's all I remember.

I'm definitely no artist (especially on my phone), but here's a quick (and crappy) sketch of the house.
