I was at the Food Lion plaza near the apartment complex I used to live in, waiting for my mom to pick me up and take me home. I remember walking by a store with a guy who looked my first grade teacher's son, and I helped him close up shop. I didn't want to wait too long to go home, so I asked this random girl for a ride. She said sure, and gave me a ride home. At first we passed the entrance to my neighborhood, but she turned around and pulled into it. I remember telling her how this was where my mom lived, but I was just visiting, as I often did. She pulled into the neighborhood and parked behind a car that was already parked, blocking it in. She said it was some kind of prank. I don't recall how my mom got there, but she was in the car. We got out and started up the hill, towards our apartment, as it began to rain. I remember asking my mom how she got home, and she told me that someone from work gave her a ride. We got into the apartment, and I was thinking that my mom was dead, and as we were sitting in the kitchen, I asked my mother if she was really my mother. I don't remember what her answer was, but I remember that she waa behaving oddly. I asked her to say God, and she wouldn't do it, no matter how much I pressed. I started saying God over and over again, louder and louder, until I couldn't say it anymore. I backed away and after a bit, I could say God again. My mother was different now. She still looked like herself, but darker, more evil. I seem to remember seeing an evil smile, and I remember seeing her rise into the air, her socks the only thing visible directly in front of my face.
